Right across the street from our MyGayGetaway. Gay-friendly hotel in the very heart of West Hollywood - you couldn't ask for a better location. Starbucks, gyms, restaurants, cafes and a strong LGBT presence in all directions.
Some think the only gay activity in Gay Los Angeles is going to a bar. Now you know there are sports teams and social groups here too! The most popular gay sport in Los Angeles is softballwith teams, and bowling, with 80 teams.
The combination of testosterone and walls lined with gay adult books, magazines, DVDs, sex toys and lubricants among other novelties makes for a particularly sexually charged environment, otherwise known as ground zero for cruising. In addition to this WeHo mainstay, there's also a Silver Lake outpost. The fact that both stores are within stumbling distance of popular gay hot spots like Akbar Silver Lake and Fubar WeHo only adds to their allure.
Ditto to your comment. I live in LA, but not in WeHo and am glad that I can just go to a normal gym because it is affordable and close to my apartment. I go to the gym to get in shape, so that I can be thin and popular outside of my gym life LOL. James : James, your obsession with hetros is pathetic.
Why the name of the gym is 24 hours fitness when they closed the pool at exactly 10pm, and the gym itself at 12am on weekdays and 11pm on weekends? Annoying Also the customer service here sucks and unfriendly! Poor management and Horrible service Above, I took photos of the mens locker room.
It seems both obvious and disgusting: A recent study by the UK sex shop Ann Summers polled 2, adults and found that 50 percent "use the gym as a hook-up venue" and that 25 percent have had sex where they squat. The poll also revealed that 20 percent of gym rats have done it with their personal trainers, which 70 percent of women admitted to fantasizing about. When I asked my own personal trainer about this, he told me about one lady at his old gym: She was married to a muscle-bound gym-goer, but she would always try to hook up with new younger trainers at company parties.
I stayed in a hostel in Venice Beach, and I loved it: So hippy, so chill, so many cute European gay guy tourists. Seriously, this hostel had cute guys sitting in the common room playing guitars till 4am shirtless every night. Venice is a great spot to start exploring Los Angeles if you have no car, only a little cash and no problem walking around.
I go to the 24 hr Fitness in Santa Monica, so I have only been here a few times. It's pretty complete. Super gay too.
Before we run some laps, let's look at the course: Portland's queer scene isn't centralized in any single spot or 'hood. Although SW Stark—once hailed as Portland's "Vaseline Alley"—still boasts a small strip of gay bars, now queer-centric establishments fan out across Portland, from deep in the heart of NoPo the blue-collar dude-bar Eagle Portland to the clutch of queer joints in Chinatown Embers, Hobo's, the Crown Room, etc. Whether your sweat of choice is physical or intellectual, queer Portland's got you covered.
